Charles James is a Medical Physicist who specializes in radiation oncology physics. In addition to clinical duties, he is a professor who leads an active research program in applications of machine learning, nanotechnology, Monte Carlo simulations and radiation biology. He also instructs one of the most enjoyable biomedical statistics courses in the field.

While his writing is not “Hard SF” it has been praised for its attention to detail in the physics, biology and logistics of space exploration while keeping the stories suspenseful and action-packed.

Charles lives in southern Alberta with his amazing wife, two awesome kids, and a couple of Guinea pigs.
